Improving campus life, one cactus at a time.
The act of “moving in” is more than sweating and carrying your stuff up 3 flights of stairs. Moving in is about spending time in a place and getting to know it. Surrounding yourself with objects that make you happy. Plants have a long list of known benefits and lets face it, cacti are the best kind of plants.
That’s why we started campus cactus. We want to help you move in and make your new space feel like home. We’re sorry we can’t be there to carry the couch or the mini fridge but we can help you warm up to your new place with some prickly plants.
While an end to pollution is going to take more than a few cacti, plants play a pivotal role in removing all kinds of toxins from the air we breath.
According to a study by NASA houseplants can remove up to 87% of air toxins in 24 hours.
Praise the plants! Adding a little green to your home has been proven to help reduce stress, increase motivation, and even improve memory retention.
A study at The Royal College of Agriculture in Circencester, England, found that students demonstrate 70% greater attentiveness when they’re taught in rooms containing plants.
It doesn’t take a scientist to know that plants add a stylish touch of natural beauty to any setting, no matter how big or small your space.
A study by Lohr and Pearson-Mims found that rooms with plants are also perceived as more cheerful, pleasant, and inviting.
